How long can I hire a car for?

Our hire durations range from 1 to 84 days allowing you to have the vehicle for the time you need it. If your rental agreement is less than 84 days, as long as there is no reservation, you can extend your hire period up to this time.

How early do I need to book my rental period?

There are no delays on when you can begin your car hire term, but we offer bookings to hire vehicles up to 6 months in advance, Parkland motors also provides a Delivered option, or pick up the vehicle near an airport with valet service. Bookings for these services must take place at least 24 hours prior to the desired rental period.

What car hire insurance do I need?

All vehicles hired from Parkland Motors come readily insured with public liability insurance for your use. You are able to drive the vehicle as soon as your rental period starts. Additional insurance protections are purchasable, such as additional type cover. Your excess required on the insurance in the case of purchase of additional protections may increase, and they do not cover the loss of personal belongings from the vehicle.

Who can drive the vehicle when it is hired?

When hiring the vehicle, the person hiring the car is authorised to drive the vehicle, along with the addition of up to two named drivers that are disclosed to Parkland Motors either before the rental period has begun, or with notice in order to be covered under the public liability insurance we provide. All drivers must be covered by our insurance before driving the vehicle, and therefore additional drivers added after the rental period has begun must not drive the vehicle until Parkland Motors have communicated they are covered.
